All of our rocking horses are lovingly hand crafted from mature, seasoned timber and are hand finished to the highest quality. The tack and saddle are hand made from genuine leather and the mane and tail are real horse hair.

The Largest of our rocking horses (Pentland) is finished in the traditional dappled gray with long blond mane and tail, light tan saddle and tack, and a stand of natural pine. The medium (Salisbury) and the smaller (Calton) rocking horses are usually dappled gray with black mane and tail, chocolate brown, hand stitched, saddle and bridle, and dark walnut coloured stand. Although these are our standard colours, as all our rocking horses are hand made, no two are exactly alike and this allows us to finish horses to individual requirements. We have finished horses in many different colours that have been requested by our customers. If you have any special requirements, perhaps the colouring of a favorite horse, or even something to match the decor, please contact us and we will be happy to speak to you about it.

The Pentland is a close replica of the rocking horses produced by Ayres of London early last century. It is a truly magnificent rocking horse, it's 48ins high overall and 36" to the saddle, and is 58ins from one end of the stand to the other and 17ins wide. It is finished in dappled gray with long blond hair and light tan saddle and tack The stand is natural pine with heavy duty brass fittings. As with all Ayres rocking horses the head is looking to the right giving a very realistic feel to the ride

The Salisbury is 46ins high overall and 33ins to the saddle, it is 58ins from one end of the stand to the other and 17" wide. Normally finished in dappled gray with black hair and chocolate brown saddle and bridle with a dark walnut coloured stand. These rocking horses are carved with a rounded belly and fully carved legs with muscle overlays.
